La logique informatique
(selon les travaux de J.D WARNIER)
The sequence (in time) research J.D WARNIER
Before actually addressing of data organization outlined by J.D WARNIER, it seems important to put in the time his various works.
The first concern of J.D WARNIER within the company BULL machines, has been to work on the organization of treating data, ie organize all the instruction sequences of a program.
This may seem somehow a bit anachronistic, to the extent that the database has not yet been organized, but at that time the urgency was to design clear programs, performing, without mistakes (of structure), and most easily mutable.
"Method LCP (Construction Logic Programs)" was developed in the 1970s ..., AFNOR certification in 1983 and ISO
Many programmers of that time (the - 20 years can not know !) Will remember no doubt discover that from one day to the next everything became clear, simple and could finally rest easy! (What hapiness !, When a program was turning the first time!)
It was now necessary to address the data system itself, because there too the inventory was a disaster (Today is not yet won !!), the files contained everything and anything, who added his small data field, without saying anything to anyone, and therefore a definition of the files indefinable, you had to have 20 years of seniority to find out where a particular data was located (although often redundant) Etc .... !!
"Method LCS (Logic System Construction)" came to the rescue of our computer specialists around 1975 ...
Here I must admit it was more difficult to implement and especially to convince the computer specialists (geniuses of the technic and tinkering (I was one!)) Because on the one hand, this approach staged the iT professionals and users themselves, and secondly we must reason (mathematics Sets, relations, data prioritization, belonging study Etc ...), Spend a lot of time defining the data and all this was not the 'cup of tea' of everyone. Everyone knows that we all want to go fast and rare are those willing to take the time .... to define and organize the data of their business. L.C.S has often been criticized for to be too long a way, it's true, it's often very long to do things correctly, especially in this area, but you will not contradict me: How happy when things are clear for everybody !
It is true that define a CUSTOMER file in 30 seconds is faster than spend a day to define with understanding one or more logical files CUSTOMERS But after ?, if you have to spend hours to know what is in this file or how it is updated and how and why this data field is not present here but elsewhere ? Etc .... which saved time and money ?
it still lacks a dataset to organize, JD WARNIER develops in the years 1979 ... The approach that allows users to express their data rigorously and clearly, and then, and then, ...how discover data necessary in our computer, if we don't know the data to obtain ?? LDR was born.
The "LDR method (Logic Setting Results)" is used to express the needs of output data from the computer system and therefore define the "primary data" to store in our computer system.
And finally in 1983 marks the release of the latest J.D WARNIER book regarding business organization and corresponding data sets LCO (Construction Logic of Organizations).
We'll talk more about later because the impact of this work is great, so I would suggest for beginners work of J.D WARNIER, to discover first and foremost LCP methods, LDR and LCS.
You will now be able to choose one of the methods if you want, but beware this is not a a masterly course, but a detailed analysis of each and explained.
I would like to give you as much fun as I've had to write !
